Most Deputy Registrar locations will be closed on Monday, January 16 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Normal business hours will resume on Tuesday, January 17. Customers are encouraged to call ahead before traveling to a Deputy Registrar to ensure the location is open for business.

The BMV through their International Registration Process (IRP) Contractor Xerox Inc. continue to make strides in making Ohio safe by increasing the awareness of the trucking industry who have registered vehicles in Ohio through the crime of Human Trafficking.

Starting this month, the Ohio BMV IRP Processing Center and IRP Walk-In offices will be providing IRP registrants information from the grassroots non-profit organization Truckers Against Trafficking.

The information that the Ohio BMV IRP will be providing will include informational brochures encouraging companywide training regarding, recognizing and reporting Human Trafficking, as well as wallet cards with red flags to look for, questions to ask, and the National and Canadian hotlines to report suspicious activity.

The BMV wants to know What's on Your Plate? If you have a unique personalized license plate, send a photo of you with your personalized license plate and a brief summary of how you chose your plate's message. Email the photo and summary to communications@dps.state.oh.us and you could be featured on BMV's Facebook page and BMV's official website. You could also win a decorative plate award with the personalization of your choice! Plates must be current and valid. Winners will be selected quarterly.
