Title a Motor Scooter

In Ohio, a motor scooter must be compliant with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) and considered roadworthy before it is titled. In order for a motor scooter to be considered roadworthy, it must have:

  • A seat or saddle and a floor board for the driver's feet
  • Not more than three wheels in contact with the ground
  • Working brake lights, turn signals, horn, side rear view mirrors and headlight(s)

Please Note: Mopeds are not titled in Ohio.
